Publisher's Weekly covered OR Books' acquisition of Refaat Alareer's If I Must Die, a collection of Alareer's poetry, writing on literature, and personal correspondences. Alareer was a Palestinian English Professor who was murdered in Gaza in December 2023. On the same day we announced OR's publication of the book, April 26, Alareer's daughter, son-in-law, and infant granddaughter were also killed by an Israeli airstrike.
