About The Author / Editor

Christos Georgalas graduated with honors from the University of Athens School of Medicine and underwent his residency in Otolaryngology in London. He completed his subspecialty training in Rhinology at Hôpital Lariboisière in Paris and at the Academic Medical Center (AMC) in Amsterdam. At AMC, he worked for 8 years as an Associate Professor, founding and directing Endoscopic Skull Base Surgery Center (ESA). He has more than 20,000 scientific citations and over 160 publications in international journals. Christos has delivered more than 500 invited lectures and has trained surgeons in 43 countries. He is an editor of two major international scientific textbooks and the author of international guidelines and consensus documents in the field of rhinology and skull base surgery. Christos has volunteered with Médecins du Monde in Kosovo during the 1999 war, in Kampala, Uganda, in 2013, and in Gaza with the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) in 2012 (Al Quds Hospital) and with Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) (Naser Hospital) in 2025.
